It seems that most women had wonderful success in their use of the Upsie Belly band and had even added benefits of reduced swelling - one thing that Belly Bandit doesn’t even claim with their product. However, it seems that the main complaint from unhappy wearers was discomfort, ironically. But it shows that not every person will fit every mold that such products are doing their best to create.
What I Think About Upsie Belly
In a few other places, I also read that a main complaint was that this belly band didn’t work very well for shorter women because of our varying hip and trunk sizes. However, one of the positive reviews pictured above includes a woman described as 5′ 2″, which is actually shorter than average for most women.
So in my mind, there are more things at play than height. Our body frames and how we carry our babies are so different that we cannot put any two of us side by side and see the exact same circumstances for our bodies.
Our exercise endurance, strength and internal muscular-skeletal situations vary so widely that it’s impossible to have one product work perfectly for everyone. But such adaptations are made and materials are chosen for applicable reasons in order to find the best suited make for most individuals.

This “belly belt” looks very comfortable, I would have bought one if I knew about when I was pregnant with my boy. I guess that when buying such products I weigh down the % of happy customers, price and my need for it. In this case I would buy it. Pregnancy is a special time in a woman’s life and many things give us discomfort. Some people like to have underwear that covers the belly, but for others it”s just unwearable. I think this is the case of this “belly belt”.
Every mother’s preference is different. Same with maternity pillows too.
