Summary:

BOTH pillows are winners and I'm sure either one will definitely make you more comfortable, allowing what little time you have left for full-length nights to be enjoyable. Personally, the Snoogle is the one for me. However, I recommend for all mothers in general, the Back 'N Belly as the best fit.

Sleep is a major investment during pregnancy, especially before the baby arrives.  Unfortunately, it is difficult to attain when you’re so uncomfortable from your growing belly.  Aches and pains all over can limit just how you’re able to function, even during the nighttime.

There is no finer comforting sleep product to remedy that than a Leachco Maternity Pillow for your whole body.  Pregnant sleep is so restless that every little bit of help to get you through the discomforts is worth its savor.  Here I’ll be reviewing both of Leachco’s best selling body pillows so you can find what will be your best sleep solution.

Leachco Maternity Pillow

Leachco Maternity Pillow

Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow

(or jump down to the Snoogle)

This full body pillow wraps all the way around your back, supporting every side of your ever-expanding body.  You don’t have to have numerous separate pillows tucked around that always seem to shift out of place throughout the night.

The BENEFITS:41NFDWBQA6L

  • Full support all around whether you’re lying on your left side, right side, or even your back.
  • Ever wake up suddenly, choking on that acid reflux at night?  The exclusive design raises your head just so that your chances of it are minimized.
  • Firm support so that you don’t require other pillows for comfort, but also soft enough so that you can include others if you prefer.
  • Comes with a custom pillowcase, easy to remove and wash.

Another EXCELLENT thing I like about the Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow is that it doesn’t contain any flame retardant chemicals in the fabric.  So no worries about breathing in or absorbing something harmful for you and baby.

Some women even find it very comfortable to use while they are sitting up watching television or just riding in a car.

Out of thousands and thousands of third party reviews, I found many positive with great feedback including these few:

Unfortunately, a few customers were not satisfied with their purchase and had a few complaints as well:

All of the positive feedback seems to center on comfort, which is ironically the main goal.  While the negative feedback seems to vary depending upon individual circumstances and not an overarching theme of a lack of quality.  Perhaps this is why many individuals prefer the Snoogle Total Body Pillow instead for a better physical fit.

Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow

(or go up to the Back ‘N Belly)

Not much different than the Back ‘N Belly, but it doesn’t wrap completely under your belly on the front side.  Some women don’t prefer having a pillow under their belly once they are in the ‘huge’ late stages but are just looking for more back and hip support.

You STILL GET:7118XzSz0yL._SL1500_

  • That full support all the way around.
  • Lowered risk for that midnight reflux and nasal congestion.
  • Easy to remove cover for cleaning.
  • Does NOT contain flame retardant chemicals in the fabric.

If you roll over, you do have to move the Snoogle pillow with you.  But often only one side is more comfortable than the other anyway, making rolling over not worth the effort most nights.

In a similar case, thousands of mothers have enjoyed the benefits to their sleep with the Total Body Pillow.  Their comments include:

As always, a minority of unhappy reviewers have still expressed their opinion:

So just as with the Back ‘N Belly version, comfort was the main factor in happiness with their purchases.  But contrasting on the negative side, reviews aren’t very specific about the dislikes here, except unhappiness.  So it’s difficult to see just exactly things didn’t turn out the best for these customers.

However, knowing that the complaints only come from a tiny fraction of mothers out there, I am still confident that one of these pillows will make a huge night and day difference (excuse the pun) with your sleep.

I’ve summarized both pillows here in helping to determine which pillow may work better for you.  But all in all, there’s not much difference in disliking to discuss or variation to rate against.

MY RATING stars5 4 Star Rating

BOTH pillows are winners and I’m sure either one will definitely make you more comfortable, allowing what little time you have left for full-length nights to be enjoyable.  The only reason I’ve rated the Snoogle as four stars is because most women prefer the pillow under the belly.

I personally do not put a pillow under my belly, so the Snoogle is the one for me.  I do recommend in general for all mothers though, the Back ‘N Belly as the best fit.  But now you can decide for yourself based on your own sleeping habits what is definitely worth your time.

You have me curious. Are these pillows firm because of the content/makeup of the pillow, or are they firm because they might also double as memory pillows? I tend to move a lot during my sleep and by the time I wake up, I’m scrunched somewhere in the center of the pillow and feeling like I’m drowning.

I like that there is a pillow that I can recommend to my lady friends.

      Hi Norm.

Leachcos are not memory foam. They’re simply polyester and cotton filling.
They don’t have that affect of some pillows (like feather or down) that seem to scrunch up around the face easily.

They do make a smaller version of the Snoogle that you can arrange with your regular head or leg pillows, depending on your comfort level. You can see that one by clicking ==>HERE<==

But if you toss and turn all night, the Back ‘N Belly would probably be your best bet because you get the same support on both sides.

Let me know which one you like the best. Thanks for your comment!
