As you read this, you’re near a device that emits radiation.  It’s all around us.

1. Chic -  This is their basic blanket from regular cotton, also in a few different colors.
   1. Cosmo - it’s the  light blue color with an orange logo in the corner, pictured above
   2. Metro - your typical black color with the logo in the light blue
   3. Juno - the soft pink edging with most of the blanket simply white
2. Chic Organic - Same as the original Chic, but with organic cotton in your fabric.  This version only has one option available in a light peach color.
3. Luxe - If you’re looking for a super soft micro-fleece feel, this style meets that, with two different colors on the underside lining.
   1. Champagne - a shimmery light pink around the edging, but the top is a dark grey
   2. Aqua - same coloring around the edges in a light blue, with the same dark grey top side

There even is a self-directed test that you can do with your own cell phone to show how the blanket blocks the signal and emitted radiation by quickly wrapping your phone in the blanket.

The Belly Armor site DOES provide an explanation to what may seem like the blanket not blocking radiation when tested with one’s cell phone.  I found this in their FAQs:

The Cell Phone Test is meant as an indicator of effectiveness. However, in areas of extremely high cellular strength, your cell phone may still register a signal, even if 99% of the signal is being shielded. This does not mean shielding is not happening – in fact, it most likely means that is an area of abnormally high cellular signals.

 

If you are having problems with the Cell Phone Test, please ensure that you are fully enclosing the cell phone with the RadiaShield® Fabric facing the phone, that you are giving it at least 1 minute for the signal to dissipate, and that you are checking the signal immediately after uncovering. If problems persist, try using a different cell phone and a different location.

Pros and Cons

It seems the positive aspects have already been mentioned across the reviews and included features.  But I think there are a few things you may not have thought about already, good and bad.

Conclusion

I spend my day sitting in front of the computer quite often and wish that I had found this blanket sooner.  When I first heard about them, my immediate reaction was was a little weird, thinking that these wouldn’t be comfortable.  Like when you’re at the dentist and they throw that big, heavy lead vest on you to take x-rays of your teeth-I thought these blankets would work nearly the same way.

But they are A LOT different than that, designed for the more common type of electromagnetic radiation that we get exposed to MORE than any other type.  We live our lives around devices and I don’t know anyone that doesn’t have something applicable to this scenario.  Have we truly considered the long term affects, personally?  It’s hard to say at times.

Which is why the one thing I REALLY like about the Belly Armor site is that they have their own results public, independently reviewed and researched, published and fully referenced in order to educate and help the future of their customers.  Anyone can claim something about their product, no matter what it is.  But to actually back that claim with facts and data, that’s proof for me.

Another PLUS is they even have clothing you can check out too, for women AND men.  Even nursing covers for when baby is out and still growing, and monitors that are designed to produce the lowest amounts of radiation possible.

But it starts with the blanket…and you’re a smart person to cover-up in one.  I give this a 5/5 star rating.
