Your little one is going to be thrust into a world of bright lights, cold temperatures, and other bothersome environments that he or she is not used to for at least the first few months of life. And your baby is going to be traveling everywhere consistently as well.
One thing to help the little dear is to cover their carseat with a canopy. Relying on the built in shade cover doesn’t always work either because it doesn’t cover the entire carseat. Here I’ve reviewed my favorite canopy and how you can get one completely free.

Carseat Canopy Free
This is my FAVORITE brand of carseat canopy covers. I got my carseat canopy with my first baby and I DO NOT regret a moment of it. I used it again with my second boy and I enjoy using it still. I can put them in their carseat and not worry about the weather bothering them. They can sleep easier because lights and sounds are not as big a distraction.

Being able to sleep is HUGE during their first few months. You’re going to be toting them to the doctor many times, always during a nap time it seems, and not being covered just ruins their routine that you’ve already tried so hard to put into place. I recommend carseat canopies to EVERYONE.
| PROS | CONS |
| Year round use - not too hot in summer, warm enough in winter | Free code does not include shipping & handling |
| Super soft minky fabric interiors that won’t irritate baby’s skin | NFL team prints are $10 more after discount |
| 100% polyester that won’t shrink and is breathable | All sales are final unless product is damaged |
| Easy attachment with velcro straps | |
| Machine washable | |
| Fits any size carseat model | |
| Adjustable velcro straps so cover doesn’t slip off | |
| Many fabric colors and prints available | |
| Long enough to cover baby, short enough to not get dragged on the ground | |
| Can add optional embroidery to personalize for your child for just $7 | |
| Can upgrade to whole Kit ‘N Caboodle options that include a head support pillow, slip cover, lap blanket, replacement umbrella | |
| Can add a second canopy to your order for just $10 more |
Yes, you do have to pay shipping. But it is still a killer steal for a $50 value, plus months of baby’s better sleep and comfort on-the-go. I’ve known moms that will just concede to cover their babies with an extra blanket so save on the minor expense. Sure, that will work, but just a blanket will slip off, the handle will be covered so it will make carrying the carseat ten times harder. Plus your blanket is going to get dirty a lot faster. Ladies, it is WORTH the shipping costs.
What Others Are Saying About Carseat Canopy
You can find hundreds of great reviews from third party sellers that carry the carseat canopy. Out of hundreds, over 97% are rated as customers completely satisfied with their product. Some of those reviews include:

So a variety of likes and benefits are clearly seen with those satisfied with their canopies. The ease of use with the velcro straps and their lasting durability is another consideration that most don’t think about.
But I was able to find just a few customers that weren’t fully happy with the canopy they purchased. Such reasons and experiences follow:

It seems that the only major complaint that these buyers felt broke the deal with their canopies was the fact of wind present. The canopies are quite soft and flexible so that they aren’t bothersome to your baby. But when the wind gusts pick up, it can easily blow the fabric aside, causing some temporary discomfort for your baby, depending on its sensitivity.
I’ve found this to be the case with mine as well. But I still feel that because the straps hold it in place, I don’t worry about losing the cover when we have momentary travel interruptions from a windy day. If you were to still just use a blanket cover, the wind would easily blow the entire blanket off the carseat and you’d have the hassle of chasing it down and getting dirty.
Such complaints are a bit warranted and understandable. But for the benefits versus the investment, I still believe this carseat canopy to be an exceptional value, especially when you can get it for free.

Hi Sarah! The carseat canopy you describe in this review can be a great Chrismast present. It is a very versatile and useful item that almost any parent should know about and buy. I love that it has adjustable velcro straps. Great job!

Car seat canopy’s are the greatest! I don’t remember them even being on the market when my kids were babies, but I wish they would have been.
This would be a nice gift idea for that expectant mom, too. Gotta love free.
Thanks, Michelle. Send any young moms this way so we can get them this free gift for the winter season. Or feel free to share this post too!
This is such a great product. We used blankets to cover the car seat and it was a pain. Wish we would of had these. I’ll definetly be getting some of these covers when we have our next little munchkin.
