5 Surprise Pregnancy Announcement Videos You Can’t Watch Just Once 6

With all of my pregnancies, I didn’t ever want to wait to tell my husband that I was pregnant.  And planning a surprise never occurred to me.  Plus, he’d always know if I was going to take a test that morning because we’d plan on me doing it every time.

But there are so many couples that have such a better time of it, planning and documenting fun times.  Then they blast the whole world with their news.  I know recently there was the viral story with the husband surprising his own wife with her pregnancy test, that he took with her own urine for her without her knowing.

There are so many variations that are funny, tearful, hilarious, and just special for couples and families learning about the little miracles soon to join their families.  Plus, there are too many to count.  But I’ve put together a few of my favorite surprise pregnancy announcement videos that you’ll be glad you spent your lunch break with.  (Here are my favorite TED talks for moms you can watch later too.)

Get some inspiration along with tears and laughter.  Grab your snack and drink, sit back, and revel in the world of others enjoying their big news.  After all, all pregnancy announcements are a surprise for everyone.

I really like the reveals best with the wife telling the husband.  Why?  Because it’s more personal, emotional, loving and just special.  This young couple is on a date and the wife has a cute idea for a picture in a photo booth.  She holds up a baby beanie for the pic.  But I love how his reaction deserves the tender privacy of that little photo booth.

This one’s a little longer but really memorable if you listen to the words shared between these two.  They’ve journeyed a long way in their relationship and then it knowingly will take a turn they didn’t expect.  Pay attention to what the husband reads on the card.  There’s a lot of hinting and symbolism that you will get, but he ironically doesn’t for a few moments.

Now we start getting more light-hearted.  You know how guys are just completely blind sometimes?  They can’t see things right in front of their faces until we stick it right in their nose. :)  This hubby takes a good ten minutes to see what his wife is trying to convey.  It got me aggravated and ancy and I’m not even the wife in the video!

Now we can get into the reactions with family.  Things liven up with this great full family video.  Watch the mother on the couch opening the gift.  She’s just in SHOCK, and very well should be due to the number of grandkids she learns she’s expecting.  I probably would be too.

Here you end with a quick, joyful, but nice announcement depicting miracles.  There’s no shock and awe here, just pure joy and happiness at the new blessing that’s going to enter the lives of this family.  Even the father gets it immediately and has the same amount of enthusiasm as the mother.  You don’t see that very often.

Hope you enjoyed the videos!  I spent a few hours finding the best ones for you so you didn’t waste your time online.  Some are just the same, over and over again.  But these were unique and individual in ways that deserve the celebration they should have.

How did you tell your husband or family that you were pregnant?  My first time, I just gave my sister a gift with tampons in it.  Then with the whole family listening, I said I wouldn’t need them for another nine months and thought she could use them instead.

Pregnant Now?  Learn All You Can Expect

My mom jumped up a little, excited and just hugged me.  But my son wasn’t her first grandchild, so I don’t think it was as dramatic as some earlier times.  No big deal, though; every new reveal is special in its own way.

    Hi Sarah,

These are really some fun videos to watch. I particularly like the first one. They are so cute and I like how he almost cried hearing the news. And the last one is just pure joy. I think grandparents are the next people to get excited over pregnancy announcement after the fathers.

Thanks for putting a smile on my face Sarah.

You’re welcome Cathy. I’ve had more than one grandparent tell me that when they have grandchildren, their love and joy for their family and offspring just grows and grows farther than they ever thought it could. So I can imagine that the love these grandparents have toward their soon-to-be grandkids is just so often overwhelming-thus why we see it in the videos. Thanks for your comment!

Interesting page not much use for me ha ha but it sure does have a lot of value for mother’s that are expecting. I definitely think you added a lot of value overall to the website and there is a lot of imagery that is interesting as well I thought. Nice style and design overall I thought with a great look on the overall page.

This is great! I love it, I watched them all. What a fab idea to pull them all together like that. I tried a special one too once, my husband went to take a family shot of about 15 of us and when everyone was ready instead of saying ‘say cheese’ he said ‘she’s pregnant’ and then took the picture. The reaction on the photograph was classic! Great page,

That is such a cool idea, Ruth! Then you get everyone’s immediate reactions immediately caught and saved forever. I sometimes wish that I had a camera present when I first told my family too. But memories are still good no matter how they’re preserved, right? Thanks!
